<image:caption>Nelly Bonilla and Oscar Luna started Home Eleven. Being influenced by film; a medium whose setting, characters and story are ever changing and its that ability to delve deep into an idea and discover all its fortunes yet change your direction once all is exposed and exhausted to a new theme. It proved that to create our visions we constantly needed approval and changes from others. At times an idea is so fragile that only its creator can nurture it to completion. After much honesty to one's own morals and goals we decided to push our efforts back to the arts. To creating art and design one can experience and interact with. Our work explores connections and experiences of place, environment and time; an urge to create objects that challenge our perception of a common space. It satisfied an idea film would of never come close to accomplishing. We fell liberated to create any idea or object that we want to explore. To tell a story as you interact with our product. Never forgetting our experiences and ideas, there are endless roads to discover.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Time is relative, it can seem everlasting or pass us by, we fell its existence when we focus on a task or object. Keeping these ideas in mind we designed a space where a viewer can question the presence of time. Over 10,000 individual clear straws compose this cave like structure. A continous water stream falls from above down to a reservoir if recorded with your cell phone the water droplets seem frozen in time. Created for "Art and its Dimensions" exhibition at the Moore Building, Miami, FL.</image:caption>

<image:caption>There is the moment before and the moment after you shot a gun, once you pulled the trigger there is no coming back. Can we understand the consequences of pulling a trigger? This is what we are exploring in the interactive installation "Orenda." Centered on an AR-15, viewers will have a chance to see, touch and pull the trigger. While the gun is not live, there is an aftermath effect if the viewer takes the shot. The wall facing them has a mirror aligned allowing patrons to view their reflection while interacting with the AR-15, once the trigger is pulled, light from inside illuminates showing them a broken mirror with a bullet spinning to its destination. On the other side of this wall, the bullets extrusion, a thermal printer that produces messages for the shooter..questions asking the audience "why did you shoot?," facts about school shootings, information on the NRA; we are asking the viewer to explore [both sides of] the problem.</image:caption>

<image:caption>After years of plastic pollution, a new mutated species has infected our airways and is duplicating at an alarming rate. Beginning its infiltration through our AC vents we used over 10,000 straws and 500 PVC pipes to bring this concept to life in our studio at the Deering Estate 2018.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Eleven…. in our eyes the number eleven is slightly above perfection, the way every design should be. Evenly balanced and reoccurring in our lives as well as in our designs this number has adapted a symbolic ideology for us. To live life above the expected, to push beyond our own limitations, it’s this concept that brought us together. Home Eleven started with the urge to create and challenged our perception of the common and its everyday uses while creating an approachable design. We hope to create art that borderlines between functional and artistic but above all to feel ethereal.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The treatment of refugees has always been filled with complex issues and laws that seem to fog the instinctual nature of helping those in need. Art for Amnesty challenged us to create a piece that could address this topic during their exhibition “People on the Move” in Wynwood. To highlight this ever-growing problem we created a large 11 foot vortex like structure made of overlapping pages from encyclopedia books.</image:caption>

      <image:title>New Page</image:title>
<image:caption>Upon entering the gallery, Art Bastion we provided each visitor with a vintage postcard to be used as a passport which contained a pre-determined seal granting or denying them access inside of the vortex. A guard was placed at the entrance to check each postcard and enforce the seal’s outcome. Many we turned away.    </image:caption>

      <image:title>New Page</image:title>
<image:caption>If allowed inside, the viewer will follow a tight winding path to the center of the vortex. There they will experience a view of broken glass surrounding them. This repeated broken image of once self is our view of the difficulties faced by refugees coping with a new country, new culture, new life or having to deal with the circumstances facing their own country with no means of escape.</image:caption>
